Technology, Pharmaceuticals and Our Brains

With all the technology from computers, ipods, video games etc. and with all the medical drugs that are being prescribed, I think we have a lot of people in this country that cannot think for themselves. Both of these things, among some other things can effect how peoples brains work and even change their brain thought patterns after a while. They are in bondage.

It just seems that crime and violence has sky rocked with the video games, violent movies and the sex industry is rampant with all the material and movies available. It has become an unsafe world in the name of freedom of speech. It's abuse of the term. These things do effect people or education doesn't work. Movies and videos are used in schools so why aren't they teaching agents outside of the schools? All I am saying is that these so called freedoms for sex and violence is making our society unsafe. It is not safe to let your children and grandchildren out of close supervision and it has even gotten unsafe for the little grandma's living alone.

I have also been concerned with the pushing of medical prescriptions by the pharmaceutical companies. All kinds of commercials on tv, in the paper and in magazines. People read about these drugs and then they go tell their doctors they need these drugs and the doctors prescribe them. Of course, doctors are doing a good job pushing the drugs themselves. I think we all know lots of people on prescription drugs because the doctors have prescribed them, they cause more problems and the doctors prescribes more to combat those problems and the people are hooked. They are also afraid to say no, because the doctors have told them that they must have them or they could be seriously ill. Somewhere, someone needs to stop this.

Both of these prevalent problems will effect how peoples brains perform. It is scary. What people watch and read can effect their brain and what they consume in the form of drugs can effect their brain. The effects of both on brain activity should be considered.

How did I get on this subject? Check out the following article that is somewhat close to my thoughts.

All I am trying to say is, protect your brain. Put good productive things into your mind and do not use medications if they aren't very, very necessary. Don't get on the wrong track and live a long healthy life.
