I found this cute little site while shopping the web. Christmas Treasures in Blue River, Oregon sells Nativity scenes from around the world. I really like the site. You might want to check it out.
I love Nativity scenes whether they are pictures or figurines. After all, Jesus Is The Reason For The Season.
Also, if you need pictures check out Public Domain Pictures. They are free to download and use. He would like you to back link. My picture today is from that stock.
Have a blessed day!
We can only imagine how magnificent it was the night Jesus was born. So many writers and singers have tried to get the wonder of it all across to us, but we can only imagine the glory of it all.
We weren't there when Jesus was born. The next neat event is that we may be there for His second coming or we will meet him in glory when we pass on. It is all so glorious! It will happen but for now we can only imagine.
Think about this song Ivan Parker sings, "I can only imagine."
Merry Christmas!

Personally, I try to buy at stores that support Christmas. Yes, Christmas is a Christian celebration or holiday. 90% of Americans celebrate Christmas. We don't need to let the world take it away. We don't need to shop at stores that do not respect Christmas.
Stores are welcome to celebrate their holidays and we will shop there if we cele
brate it. It is not going to happen because there are not enough consumers to celebrate minority holidays to make it worth it. Ex. Who's going to celebrate an athiest holiday? That's the reason stores don't have atheist sales. Consumers are just not going to buy. The atheists know that, so they try to break down the Christian celebration and holiday of Christmas. Let's stop it now! Jesus Is The Reason For The Season... so say so. Say... Merry Christmas! If you feel it deeply, let them know that Jesus Is The Reason for The Season.
It's time to take America back from the current tv & radio news reporters, journalists and from hollywood & sports stars if they are elitist. If they don't stand for good things... please do not support them. If we want good wholesome examples for our kids let's demand it. If we want a safe society demand it. We don't need those who think they are better or higher educated than us telling us what to do. They can live in their own little world and stay out of ours. They don't need our financial support by watching them. Support the good!
It's time for a good change. Let's make 2011 & 2012 years to remember by bringing back the good in life. Christian heritage, jobs, clean tv & media, safe homes, schools, stores and work places. 90% of Americans celebrate Christmas. Don't let the world take it away. Don't let the world dictate how we should live. Many of them live a very low & miserable life. The miserable like to bring people down to their level. Don't let them. It is not freedom to make people accept the bad things in life. It is freedom to do good and support the good things of life. Let's support the people who recognize Christmas!
Merry Christmas!

Come join me with a cup of tea instead of coffee this morning. We have just witnessed an historical event. "The American Tea Party" historical event. There hasn't been this big of win and change of power since back at least 1948. At least that is what some of the commentators were saying last night.
I am so encouraged. Maybe, now we can get some positive things done.
Anyway, today should be fun listening to Beck, Rush & Hannity!

Enjoy your tea!

This is the day we've been waiting for. This is the day for all citizens to vote for America, the constitution, lower taxes, jobs and freedom! America has grown and we have lots of Senators and Representatives. It is very important to have good men and women to represent u
s. If you're an American citizen exercise your right to vote.
God Bless America!
I thought that I'd share a little humor with the seriousness of the situation! Enjoy!!!

Enjoy the humerous side of a serious subject ... taxes. Yes, we need taxes, but there is a limit to what is acceptable. Out of control spending is what we've got. What we need are representatives that are willing to have a reasonable budget and stay within it. Anyone that runs a household knows that you can't spend what you don't have. We are already giving too much and they want more. What we want is less spending, less legislation, jobs and a safe, free country for our citizens. Think about it!
In closing think about this... if the Congress lets the Bush tax cuts end, we will all be paying higher taxes. If they aren't fair and just let the upper income tax cuts end, we will all still be paying higher taxes because those are our job makers. We won't get more jobs and higher costs means higher taxes to make ends meet. Don't let them play the class warfare game. Jealousy and greed are never the answer!
y doesn't like it.
Just when you think you've seen it all... something new comes along. A safety bra mask. It is really a potentially very good invention. In the event of a disaster where smoke, dust or particles are in the air it could be life saving or at least lung protecting.
Well, actually Grandparents Day was September 12th, but my grandchildren's public school chooses on
e month for each grade, as well as my grandchildren's private Christian school.Today, is my little Granddaughter Breanna's Grandparent's Day. Her class gave a very good Patriotic Program. We ate lunch together and had a very nice day!

Will We Get Higher Taxes?...
If you are like me, you're eyes are on the Congress to see if they are going to give us higher taxes by not extending Bush's tax cuts. For sure, it is not something that the nation needs with so many people hurting. I do not understand why they want to punish the job makers as well as the middle class. Uncle Sam need's to be put on a budget... a smaller one than he is on now.
I am so tired of the class warfare that the liberals have tried to push. Citizens are citizens and no one should be treated any different than the others. It's just too bad that there are so many people who don't realize that small businesses and higher income people make jobs and they need to make a profit. I know that if I don't pay my bills... I have major problems. You'd think all our leaders would know that they have to cut spending and live within a budget.
I think that I'm ready for the fair tax!
Today, America will celebrate Constitution Day and Citizenship Day. They are actually one in the same. Som
eone, decided to drop the citizenship day and call it constitution day. but it is important to remember that it is the citizens that support the constitution. They just go together. We the people support the constitution!
ational Anthem in 1931.
I never want to forget the September 11th memories. Our nation needs to remember this day, so that it doesn't happen again. We can't be lax with our freedoms. We can't let the enemy in. We need to remember who did it, and why, to keep it from happening again.
God Bless America and God Bless those who have to live with the results of the disaster and the loss of loved ones. We remember!

Well, now I'm the proud owner of five laying hens. My son just brought me a small chicken house and pen for the Rhode Island Reds. I love those chickens. Now, I need a rooster. Rhode Island Red roosters are fun to watch. They just strut around proud as a peacock.
I told my mother this morning, "If you know someone who needs to get rid of their goats, cow or pig... just send them my way." Joking!!! She just laughed.

We'll see how we get along with the chickens. If not there's always the stew pot!
Until then... the eggs will be much appreciated.
You know... a goose would be nice! lol!

I found this neat little site this morning while I was looking for some good news. The Turning Trash Into Cash Issue of Happy News. Ideas for selling things that you might already have around the house. Now that's a good way to start off the week.
Grab a cup of coffee and let's chat...
Are you cool yet... if you are, it's because you live in a really cold climate like Alaska or you're inside in the air condition. Air conditioning is a real blessing in the hot humid
summer months. Personally, I don't use it until it is extremely hot and humid. I have my air conditioner set on 74 degree. Fans work great until the air is needed. But, we all have our personal choices.I was just thinking that six months ago we were deep in snow, so we can appreciate these hot summer day a while longer. We can enjoy the flowers, the fresh vegetables and casual relaxation of a summer evening.
Enjoy the day!

Look what's up and coming... Value Voters Summit. The summit is September 17-19 in Washington, DC. There is a great roster of speakers. Check them out!
nally, I like the less bulky looking cast iron, plastic, or cement furniture that we have now. But, ... we are making more outdoor rooms in our yards so the concrete sofa could work into a patio setting and look quite in place. So, it's my opinion, it's just a matter of time until it hits the American garden scene.

I've been looking for something good to share since this is my chatting over coffee blog. I've got a nice tall cup of coffee and a little time to search. Please join me.

Last week, I ran across these little houses. I found it quite amazing how small a space some people can live in. One site is Bungalow in a Box and another one is The Tiny House blog. I'm sure there are more. If you have time, you might want to look at what they offer. I looked at some of the garden buildings at Lowe's that were the same sizes as these houses. Actually seeing the sizes they are talking about, I find it unreal that someone can live in such small surroundings, but several are doing it. In the near future it might be the answer to homelessness and possibly a way for the government to handle single & couples low income recipients. There is a cost advantage and it can be done. That's already a proven fact. Who knows? It might be a cheap answer to helping those who need to live on less.
The Heritage Foundation has a great article today about fighting poverty. I totally agree that the greatest wa
y to fight poverty is for fathers to be married to the mothers of their children. Our nation has changed so much. So many of our homes are broken or the mothers have never married the children's father and the government is supporting the vast majority of them with one program or another as well as welfare. This is not fair to the children or the American tax payer. Bad choices should not be rewarded. The best answer to this is marriage, but maybe the best next answer is making sure that the fathers and mothers support their children equally. This would mean if they aren't going to be married that they share parenting, income and all other costs of raising the child. It should not be a reward that the tax payer picks up. I'm not talking about the death of a parent because that is not a choice and that is a legitimate need. I am talking about choices and consequences for bad actions. This subject is going to have to be dealt with soon because of our large public debt. This is one of America's sky rocketing costs. This is one of the issues to consider when we get around to deciding how to cust government costs.
I will be commenting on other cost cutting issues soon...

I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and checking out the noon news. I'm thinking of things that I could share today.
I've been taking down my winter curtains and putting away a few of my winter garmets until fall. I use little clear sweater garmet storage bags and then put them in my large plastic storage containers in my little outside storage building. I did put them in my garage, but my husband got me this nice building which works well. The only thing I don't like to store in there is my Christmas decorations. When the snow is flying and it is really cold out, I don't like to be rummaging around an outdoor building. I'm ready for indoor things. So, after the garden is completely planted and the flower beds are doing good, I will rearrange my storage building and put the Christmas decorations back in the garage.
Yesterday, I received 5 different knock out roses that I ordered plus 3 white out roses. There really isn't a white knock out rose, but the same breeder that bred the knock out roses developed another rose that is called the white out. I can't wait to get them planted. I will do that later today. It is almost impossible to not raise a knockout rose. They bloom long and profuse. They also don't have a lot of rose disease problems. I'm so excited about getting them in the ground. I'll get pictures later in the season when they are blooming.
One bit of news that I found this morning is quite interesting... it seems there are some Stanford University students who have developed an inexpensive electric car. It runs about 30 miles on a 4 hr. charge. That could really be nice for short trips. Of course, it won't go very fast, but it could be a nice pleasurable trip. This little car is comparable to a dune buggy, but looks more like a flat deck lawn mower. You won't be buying it for it's looks, but fuel savings on short trips.
That's about it for now... have a great day!
I found this one neat product line that I think you would like. It is the Power Nap Machine.
Click on the box to check it out. Right now they have a limited time free US shipping offer!
I am seriously thinking about getting one. I know of others who have used it and say that it is great. I would love to hear from some of you who have used it. It is neat to find products that assist in a good quality sleep.
How about chatting over a nice cup of coffee? I haven't mentioned it, but we had a wonderful trip to Amish country in Ohio. We drove miles through the country looking at crops, gardens and the flowers. We also stopped in Kidron to visit Lehman's Hardware Store plus several shops.
We ate at some of the areas best places. It was a nice easy going trip over the Memorial Weekend. If you go check out the many different resturants... it is nice to try something new and it gives those merchants a chance to service new customers.
We usually stop by Heini's, but there were so many people in line that we didn't go into the cheese shop. We did get one of their great tasting ice cream cones. We will try to go to the store the next time we go.
I really don't like to travel over holidays anymore, but my husband won me over. I like it when there are less vacationers, less traffic and more time to casually shop. I guess we all have our preferences. It was a nice get-a-way for us!
I can't believe that I'm saying this already, "The year is half over!" How time flies. So much has happened this year with all the economic unrest, unemployment and natural disasters. We never know what a day holds.
I'm ready for some good news!
Right now my good news is that I'm getting my garden in. Most of it has been planted, but we have had to deal with more rain than usual. I don't mind, hopefully, it will last through the summer. It is a little later than usual so that means cooler harvest times. I can handle that. It's great to can and freeze produce when it's cooler.
I was looking over the Lillian Vernon catalog that I posted about a few days ago. There are some pretty neat things in there esp. in the kitchen and laundry areas. For some reason, I always look in those sections for what's new and available. I guess that's because laundry and meal preparation are always with us. I like anything that makes work easier, frees up time or saves money.
We still have our rains so I've still got a little time to work on other chores that need to get done. As soon as it's nice again, my daughter and I need to finish planting the garden. I did manage to get tomato plants in Saturday before it started raining.
The corn and onions are up nice. The carrots aren't through yet. Hopefully, they will be through soon. i used a planting strip for them. It's just getting exciting out there.
Yesterday, we had a family dinner. Everyone gathered in after church family. It is so much fun to be with family. It is about as much fun putting it all together as sitting down and eating at the table. We have a large family and everyone brings food into share. They put the finishing touches on when they get here, so most of the adults were standing and working around in the kitchen. Some holding the babies or talking to the little children. We told telling stories, jokes and shared all kinds of advice and thoughts. It was just a fun time. Of course, the meal might not have been as quick as possible, but most don't seem to care.
After we cleaned up, we walked in the garden. We looked at the vegetables that were up and discussed the flowers. Each of us shared our own thoughts and plans for our gardens this year.
Last night, my husband and I sat by a campfire on our little island by the pond. Just two little old people on an island by themselves watching the fire and enjoying being together after a big day.
Grab yourself a cup of coffee and let's chat a little...
I think we're all a little concerned about the economy especially since it involves us all. We're in this together. We all want to see those around us be able to work and feed, clothe and house their families.
We all know that taxes and expenses are way to high. We manage. We go on. We also learn from past experiences, history as well as the present. We know that we can't overspend and that we need to cutback until times are better. Right now, if possible, is a pretty much stay as you are situation.
We buy what we need and some of what we want, but not as much. We are learning, we are trimming down and we will make it. That's why I thought I'd share this little saying that I ran across today with you.
I ran across this today and thought that I'd share it with you. I always like free shipping. Lillian Vernon is offering free shipping with a $50 or more purchase. I really like online shopping because it sames me gas, searching for what I want and lots of needed time for other things.
They always have some different and fun things to buy.
If you like arm chair shopping ... check them out!
I've been busy working and getting the flower gardens in shape. I've been week whacking and pulling weeds. Mostly weed whacking since I cut my hand. I'm so pleased. It has been so windy that I haven't been able to use Roundup. I don't like to use chemicals, but I've had an over abundance of weeds.
It is so neat to see the flowers growing and blooming. The iris are really beautiful right now as well as the roses.
Hopefully, I'll have them in great shape before I get back to the vegetable garden. I really need to plant more vegetables, but the rain has just kept right on coming.
Have a great gardening day!
"For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
The Passion film clips are so vivid but true. The song is the Via Dolorosa. May this touch your heart as it has touched so many.
Blessings to you this Good Friday!

Sarah Palin will host Real American Stories on April 4, 2010 on the Fox News Channel. I watched this video clip and love it. It is so nice to see real American every day people who have overcome. How refreshing it is.

I love books and I am always looking for books to add to my library. No, I don't read all of them from cover to cover because some of them are reference as well as how-to and cook books.
I found this site that has some out of print books. I know how frustrating it is to look and look for an out of print book. Anyway, it's a neat site. I just thought I'd share the site with you.

Click On Link
... anyway, I thought you might like the site. Good luck on finding your book!
